New Nature: Call it alive

The weight of everything mankind has built and made today, weighs about the same as all Earthly life combined. Humans are manipulating nature, therefore creating an environment with machines, devices, genetic modification and polluting materials. Humans are creating their own ‘natural environment’ around them. Since we are having such a huge influence on nature and life, what is natural and what does something alive means to us? In this performance I - humankind - slowly bring my own created organisms, made from plastic and electricity, to life. A different perspective and a possible vision of what we could also call ‘alive’.
