New Nature: Nature Revisited
2022
There is a strange relation between me and nature. I can’t live without nature, but I try to in a way. Nature, on the other hand, can live without the existence of me as a human being. It would thrive on me not existing.
Throughout our existence, I believe we as humans created our own “natural” environment. A “natural” environment with screens, machines, devices. The sounds, smells and remnants of these man-made things are permanently around us and are replacing the actual nature.
In this video performance I am trying to revisit the flat fictitious natural environment we have created around us. By trying to merge my body in the environment I attempt to collaborate with this phenomenon of digital ‘nature’.
